Penny Black Saturday Challenge - March 2014 Challenge

It's been a long time since I've been able to upload to my blog. Just two weeks ago I had to say goodbye to my beautiful handsome little red man Monty. He's had so many health issues in recent years and has always been my red rubber ball puss bouncing back after his frequent vet visits.

But this time he was suffering and it was heart breaking to see .My head knows I did everything possible for him but my heart will ache for his loss for a long time I reckon. I had to care for him every day he was a very special needs puss but I don't for one moment regret looking after him, the love he gave me was unconditional. Fly high my sweetheart xxx

I'm making some cards for friends to help pay the vet bills, so Monty is with me, one of my special  memories is that he used to come up on the table while I was crafting. So I saw the lace and pearls challenge and it fitted in with my Penny Black Bee costume stamp & the challenge over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Cheers

Wow we are sure getting some rough weather these last few days being cold with heavy rain and hail today. Right now it's down to 7degrees C. Brrr I should be snuggled under my nice warm fleece rug.
Tess (my cream Persian) sure has an aversion to thunder so she has not been happy puss. I only wish I could desentitise her to the bad weather.
Anyway I want to enter 2 challenges with this card made from my new Penny Black stamp which is available of course from Simon Says Stamps. They have a challenge : Take a Picture and of course this fits in purr-fectly!.
Also this month Penny Black Saturday Challenge is Anything Goes.
Cheers

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - April

Sorry to have been missing for such a longtime, I promise to try harder. We've had a long hot summer ending up in drought conditions and now the Autum weather is producing lot's of rain and cooler temperatures which are a huge help to all our farmers.
Back in February I took Mum to Dunedin to watch our team play in a pre season game. We flew on a  Air NZ flight with the team and it was fun, here's Manu serving the drinks. They are a great bunch of guys, but unfortunately we've had lots of injuries the team isn't doing so well at the moment. Fingers crossed they can keep on climbing the ladder, 26 weeks is a long haul and lots of things change in that time.

I've still  been visiting Penny Black Saturday Challenge and I love the sketch challenge from Beth  this was  perfect for me to get back into cards. These are some lovely Kaiser craft papers called: Remember Me, I'm  trying to get some more especially the small poppy design paper, it was sold out, damn and blast but I know of one other place I can try. It will be perfect to use with my Penny Black Bountiful stamp.
Cheers for now and Happy Crafting

Penny Black Saturday February Challenge Love & Marriage

Hi sorry I've been absent for so long. We've been busy re-landscaping and getting the old lawn dug up, levelled and now resown so it's all been hard labour and it has taken a longtime. Got the last part started so maybe I'll have more time for time for getting back to my crafts.
So wanted to enter this months Penny Black Saturday Challenge which is a Love & Marriage theme.
Cheers for now

Tribute to dear Miss Maggie Moo

Finally here's a look at the completed scrapbook pages I've been working on for my special friend Linda whom I met through our shared love of Persian cats. Linda was so kind to help me out with Monty this year so I wanted to do something special to repay her.

So I badgered her to send me Maggie's photo's so I could scrapbook them and send back to her completed . Well it finally  got finished just before Christmas and I'm so glad she loves what I've done. Blue was my theme, not my usual colours as you may know but it all turned out well in the end. I loved getting stuck into a project as a change from my cards.
Maggie you hold such a special place in your Mom's heart forever and ever.
Cheers
